The Internal Revenue Service has primary responsibility for monitoring the tax compliance aspects of qualified retirement plans. This page contains IRS publications which describe the most common arrangements which include 401(k) plans, SIMPLE IRA plans and SEP (Simplified Employee Pension) plans. Also included here are compliance checklists for each plan as well as compliance limitations currently applicable to retirement plans.
